Raipur. President Draupadi Murmu is scheduled to visit Ambikapur on November 20 to participate in the Tribal Pride Day celebrations, organized in memory of Lord Birsa Munda, the legendary tribal freedom fighter and hero of India’s independence movement.

In anticipation of the President’s arrival, Principal Secretary of the Tribal Development Department, Mr. Sonmani Bora, conducted a detailed review of the preparations in Ambikapur today. He inspected multiple sites, including the Gandhi Stadium and PG College grounds, to ensure flawless arrangements for the high-profile event.

Security and Infrastructure Review at Gandhi Stadium

Mr. Bora first visited Gandhi Stadium, where he inspected the helipad being prepared for President Murmu’s arrival. He examined the security arrangements, arrival and departure routes, helipad strength, and overall cleanliness around the venue. During the inspection, he issued crucial instructions to officers to ensure that all arrangements meet the highest standards of safety and efficiency.

Main Event Venue – PG College Grounds

Following the stadium inspection, the Principal Secretary visited the PG College grounds, the main venue for the Tribal Pride Day function. He reviewed ongoing work on the dome pandal, seating arrangements, VIP entry and exit gates, traffic management, stall decorations, security measures, cleanliness, drinking water, electricity, parking facilities, and the cultural stage setup.

Mr. Bora directed officials to ensure all preparations are completed on time and presented in an aesthetic and organized manner before the President’s arrival. He emphasized maintaining both quality and visual appeal across all arrangements to reflect the cultural significance of the event.

Seminar Preparations at PG College Auditorium

In addition to the main event, a special seminar is planned at the PG College auditorium as part of the celebrations. Mr. Bora reviewed the seminar arrangements and instructed concerned department officials to ensure a smooth and timely execution of the program.
