Raipur. In a major step towards digital empowerment and senior citizen welfare, pensioners have received a big gift — they can now create and submit their life certificates from the comfort of their homes.
Under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai and with the special efforts of Finance Minister O.P. Choudhary, the Digital Life Certificate Campaign 4.0 has been launched across Chhattisgarh. This initiative is being implemented jointly by the Central Government and the Government of Chhattisgarh, aiming to make the process more convenient, transparent, and efficient for pensioners.
Pensioners Can Now Generate Certificates from Home
Through this facility, pensioners can now generate digital life certificates using facial recognition technology by downloading the Aadhaar Face RD and Jeevan Pramaan Face apps on their Android smartphones. This digital solution ensures complete security, simplicity, and transparency, enabling pensioners to complete the entire process without visiting any office or bank branch.
Nationwide Campaign from November 1 to November 30, 2025
The Digital Life Certificate Campaign 4.0 will be conducted nationwide from November 1 to November 30, 2025. During this period, special camps will be organized in various locations across Raigarh district, including Raigarh, Kharsia, and ADB Raigarh, to assist pensioners in generating their life certificates.
Teams from the State Bank of India (SBI) and India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) will actively help pensioners complete the process smoothly. For those facing issues while using the mobile app, the option to visit the nearest bank or post office and obtain the certificate through face authentication will also be available.
Special Facility for Senior Pensioners Above 80 Years
In a thoughtful move, the state government has allowed pensioners aged 80 years or above to submit their life certificates starting in October, ahead of the official campaign period. Additionally, for pensioners who are unable to step out due to health or other personal reasons, a home visit facility has been arranged. Under this, a bank or post office team will visit their home to generate the life certificate.
Government’s Vision: Making Life Easier for Pensioners
This campaign is being carried out in collaboration with the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Government of India. The Finance Department of Chhattisgarh and the Directorate of Pensions and Provident Funds, Raipur have issued detailed guidelines to ensure smooth implementation.
The main objective of the initiative is to make the lives of pensioners simpler, more dignified, and self-reliant, reducing their dependency on physical offices and eliminating unnecessary hassles in government procedures.
A Step Towards Digital Governance and Senior Citizen Welfare
The Digital Life Certificate Campaign 4.0 marks a major milestone in the government’s ongoing digital transformation efforts. By integrating modern technology with public service, it ensures that every pensioner — whether living in urban or rural areas — can access government facilities with ease, dignity, and independence.
This initiative not only strengthens Digital India’s vision but also reflects the government’s deep commitment to respecting and supporting senior citizens in their retirement years.
