Raipur: On the auspicious occasion of Chhath Mahaparva, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai and his wife, Smt. Kaushalya Sai, offered prayers to the Sun God at Duldula Chhath Ghat in Jashpur district. The couple performed traditional rituals, praying for the prosperity, happiness, and well-being of the people of Chhattisgarh.
Extending his heartfelt greetings to the people of the state, Chief Minister Sai said that Chhath Puja is a symbol of faith, purity, and devotion. He expressed that participating in the festival was a matter of great privilege and emotional connection with the people.
The Chief Minister also thanked the people of the state for their trust and affection, emphasizing that this support inspires him to serve diligently and work for the overall development of every region in Chhattisgarh.
Responding to the demands of local residents, CM Vishnu Dev Sai announced the beautification of Duldula Chhath Ghat, promising that the project would be completed before the next Chhath festival. He mentioned that similar development work had already been completed at the Kunkuri Chhath Ghat, which was beautified at a cost of ₹5.17 crore, providing better facilities for devotees and worshippers.
He added that such initiatives aim to preserve cultural traditions while ensuring that devotees have a clean, safe, and beautiful environment to perform religious rituals.
The event witnessed the presence of several dignitaries, including District Panchayat Vice President Shaurya Pratap Singh Judev, District Panchayat Duldula President Ramkumar Singh, IG Deepak Kumar Jha, Collector Rohit Vyas, and Superintendent of Police Shashi Mohan Singh. A large number of women observing Chhath fasts, public representatives, and local villagers also attended the ceremony, creating a spiritually vibrant atmosphere at the ghat.
With the announcement of the Duldula Chhath Ghat beautification project, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai reaffirmed his commitment to cultural preservation, regional development, and public welfare, ensuring that Chhattisgarh continues to progress while staying deeply connected to its traditions.
