Raipur: In a moment of pride for Chhattisgarh, the young mountaineers from Jashpur district have etched their names in history by successfully conquering the challenging Himalayan heights of 5350 meters during the Tribal Alpine Expedition Himalaya 2025 held in Himachal Pradesh.
Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai honored the victorious mountaineers at the Chief Minister’s Camp Office in Bagiya, Jashpur, presenting them with certificates and heartfelt praise. Commending their courage, discipline, and unwavering determination, the Chief Minister said,
“The youth of Jashpur have proven that with strong will, dedication, and self-confidence, no goal is impossible to achieve.”
A New Wave of Adventure and Inspiration
Chief Minister Sai emphasized that this incredible feat would ignite a new spirit of adventure and ambition among the tribal youth of Jashpur and across Chhattisgarh. He highlighted that such initiatives not only build self-confidence and leadership qualities but also foster teamwork and resilience among young participants.

The expedition, supported by the Jashpur district administration, saw young tribal participants push their limits through extreme challenges, including trekking, rock climbing, and ice climbing in the rugged Duhangan Valley. The team began its journey in September 2025, displaying remarkable endurance, cooperation, and enthusiasm throughout the mission.
The young mountaineers expressed deep gratitude toward the Chief Minister and the administration, crediting the government’s constant encouragement and logistical support for their success.
“It was only through the government’s support and motivation that we could reach the Himalayas and make our dreams come true,” said one of the participants.
