Mahasamund: Collector Vinay Kumar Langeh held the weekly Jan Chaupal on Tuesday at the Collectorate meeting hall, where he patiently listened to the concerns and grievances of citizens from across the district. A total of 74 applications were received during the session.
Collector Mr. Langeh directed officials from all departments to give top priority to these applications and ensure timely redressal. He emphasized that citizens travel long distances from remote villages to present their problems, so it is the administration’s duty to ensure their issues are resolved efficiently and that they benefit from various government welfare schemes.
During the Jan Chaupal, Riddhi Nayak, a resident of village Rajasavaiya Khurd, requested free bone marrow transplant treatment for her son under the Chirayu Yojana. Similarly, Toshan Lal Sahu from village Bhoring Mahasamund applied for paddy sale registration, while Tamradhwaj Mahara from village Bundeli sought an inquiry into the illegal occupation of government land.
Other applicants included Ramadhin Sahu from Mahasamund, who sought a disability pension, and residents of village Khairtkhurd Baghmuda, who demanded the establishment of a new paddy procurement centre.
Applications were also submitted regarding pending payments, labour card amendments, illegal liquor sales, Prime Minister Crop Insurance Scheme, forest rights lease, land demarcation, and settlement corrections. On each of these matters, the Collector directed officials to initiate appropriate and immediate action.
The meeting was attended by District Panchayat CEO Hemant Nandanwar, Additional Collector Ravi Kumar Sahu, and other senior district-level officers.
Collector Langeh reiterated that the Jan Chaupal is an important platform for direct public communication and instructed officials to review progress reports regularly to ensure that all grievances are resolved within the stipulated timeframe.
