13 Teachers Face Action for Unauthorized Absence: DEO’s Surprise Inspection Exposes Lapses in School

Raipur.In a firm move to strengthen academic discipline and ensure quality education, the Mungeli District Administration has launched a special inspection campaign under the direction of Collector Kundan Kumar. As part of this drive, District Education Officer (DEO) L.P. Dahire conducted a surprise inspection at the Government Higher Secondary School, Chakarbhatha, uncovering major lapses in teacher attendance.

During the inspection, a total of 13 teachers, including the in-charge principal, were found absent without prior notice. Taking serious note of this negligence, the DEO immediately issued show-cause notices to all the absent teachers, directing them to submit a written explanation within three days.

The teachers found absent include Principal in-charge Saukhi Lal Pankaj, Lecturers Phanendra Kumar Roy, Ravi Kumar Devangan, Mrs. Pramila Devangan, Ashish Thakur, Amarchand Barman, Sanjay Sahu, Mrs. Mamta Jangde, Nandlal Patel, Rajendra Dhruv, Purushottam Ghritalhare, Anil Sonwani, and Piyush Chandel.

Strict Disciplinary Measures to Follow

DEO L.P. Dahire stated that if the teachers fail to provide a satisfactory explanation within the stipulated time, disciplinary action will be initiated as per departmental rules. He emphasized that teacher accountability is essential for maintaining the integrity of the education system and ensuring consistent academic progress.

Continuous Monitoring for Quality Education

The District Education Officer also mentioned that regular monitoring of teachers’ attendance, classroom teaching, and student welfare activities is being conducted to uphold the government’s vision for quality education.

This campaign aims to improve school performance, enhance teacher accountability, and promote better learning outcomes across Mungeli district.
