In a major relief for thousands of pensioners, the Chhattisgarh government has launched a special statewide campaign in November to simplify the process of submitting the Digital Life Certificate (DLC). This initiative aims to ensure that no pensioner’s pension is delayed or stopped due to the non-submission of their life certificate.

No Need to Visit Primary Bank Branch

Under this special campaign, pensioners no longer need to visit their home bank branch to submit their life certificate. They can submit the Digital Life Certificate (DLC) at any bank or even from the comfort of their homes using the “Jeevan Pramaan” mobile app or by visiting the official website https://jeevanpramaan.gov.in.

This initiative follows the directions of the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare, Government of India, and the Directorate of Pension and Provident Fund, Chhattisgarh.

Instructions to Banks and Treasuries

Director of Pension and Provident Fund, Chhattisgarh, Smt. Padmini Bhoi Sahu, has issued detailed instructions to all banks and district treasuries. During a recent meeting with bank officials, she emphasized the importance of collecting digital life certificates from as many pensioners as possible before the pension distribution date in November to avoid any disruption in pension payments.

Special Camps Under ‘Digital Life Certificate Mission 4.0’

In response to these directions, major banks including the State Bank of India (SBI) are organizing special camps across various cities under the ‘Digital Life Certificate Mission 4.0’. These camps will help pensioners generate their life certificates through advanced face authentication technology, eliminating the need for physical verification or fingerprint devices.

All Banks Responsible for Every Pensioner

According to the Government of India’s latest guidelines, every bank will now be responsible for generating a Digital Life Certificate (DLC) for any pensioner visiting its branch—irrespective of where the pensioner’s account is held. This move ensures that every pensioner can access this service conveniently from any location.

Encouragement for Pensioners

The Directorate of Pension and Provident Fund has urged all pensioners to submit their Digital Life Certificate before the deadline to avoid any disruption in pension disbursement. By using the Jeevan Pramaan app or visiting nearby DLC camps, pensioners can complete this process quickly and safely.
