Raipur. In a grand celebration marking the Silver Jubilee of Chhattisgarh’s statehood, Vice President CP Radhakrishnan honored 37 distinguished personalities and four eminent institutions from diverse fields with 34 prestigious awards at the Chhattisgarh State Festival Awards Ceremony held in Nava Raipur.
The ceremony was presided over by Governor Ramen Deka, while Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma, several ministers, MPs, and MLAs were also present, adding significance to this historic celebration of excellence.

In the field of journalism, Dr. Sandeep Kumar Tiwari from Raipur received the Chandulal Chandrakar Memorial Journalism Award for Hindi print media, while Dr. Somesh Kumar Patel and Abhishek Shukla from Raipur were jointly awarded for Hindi electronic media.
Ms. Bhavana Pandey from Durg was recognized with the Madhukar Kher Memorial Journalism Award for English print media, reflecting the state’s growing media excellence.
The Devdas Banjare Memorial Panthi Dance Award was presented to Rohit Kumar Kosaria from Mahasamund, while Anurag Basu from Mumbai was honored with the Kishore Sahu National Decoration Award, acknowledging his contribution to Indian cinema.
Celebrating Achievements in Agriculture, Education, and Service
The Dr. Khubchand Baghel Krishak Ratna Award was jointly presented to Thanendra Kumar Sahu (Dhamtari) and Vaman Kumar Tikriha (Balodabazar), highlighting Chhattisgarh’s agrarian innovation.
The Dr. Bhanwar Singh Porte Tribal Service Award went to Jango Raitar Vidya Ketul Educational Institution (Kanker), while the Maharaja Agrasen Award was received by Rajendra Agrawal Raju (Bilaspur).
Mrs. Bilasadevi Kewat Fisheries Development Award honored Sukhdev Das (Raipur), recognizing advancements in fisheries and livelihood development.

Chhattisgarh’s rich literary culture shone brightly as:
- Lala Jagdalpuri Literature Award – Dr. Vinod Kumar Verma (Bilaspur)

- Veerangana Avantibai Lodhi Memorial Award – Mrs. Premshila Baghel (Mahasamund)
- Mata Bahadur Kalarin Award – Mrs. Shilpa Pandey Srishti (Surguja)

Corporate and Institutional Achievements
The Ramanuj Pratap Singhdev Memorial Labor Successful Award was jointly conferred upon Mithlesh Kumar Adil, Agrawal Team (Durg), and NTPC Ltd., Lara Super Thermal Power Project (Raigarh) for excellence in industrial productivity and labor welfare.
The Barrister Thakur Chhedilal Award recognized Khemchand Jain (Rajnandgaon), Dr. Suresh Mani Tripathi, Dr. Bhupendra Karvande, and Bharatlal Soni (Raipur) for their remarkable contributions to law and justice.
