Mahasamund.The district headquarters of Mahasamund is set to witness a grand celebration of Chhattisgarh Foundation Day with the upcoming Rajyotsav 2025, to be held from November 2 to November 4, 2025. The three-day event will take place at the Mini Stadium of Government Mahaprabhu Vallabhacharya College, showcasing the state’s rich culture, achievements, and developmental progress over the past 25 years.
Collector Vinay Kumar Langeh, along with district officials, visited the Mini Stadium to review the ongoing preparations. He instructed all departments to begin immediate arrangements and ensure seamless coordination for the successful organization of Rajyotsav 2025. The program will be closely monitored under the guidance of the Nodal Officer and Additional Collector.
The Collector also appealed to the public to illuminate their homes and institutions during the Rajyotsav as government buildings across the district will be beautifully lit up to mark the occasion.
Departmental Responsibilities for Rajyotsav 2025
To ensure smooth execution, Collector Langeh appointed the CEO of the District Panchayat Mahasamund as the Nodal Officer. Specific responsibilities have been assigned to various departments:
- Police Department: Security and traffic management.
- Forest Department: Arrangement of bamboo poles for barricading.
- District Panchayat NRLM Branch & PWD: Stage construction, pandal setup, seating arrangements, and exhibition layout.
- Electricity Department: Continuous power supply and generator backup.
- Municipal Council Mahasamund: Sanitation, mobile restrooms, and drinking water facilities.
- Health Department: Ambulance, first aid, ORS, stretchers, and medical staff availability.
- Horticulture Department: Stage decoration and floral arrangements.
Cultural Events and Exhibitions
From 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM daily, audiences will enjoy colorful cultural programs highlighting Chhattisgarh’s traditional music, dance, and art forms. Alongside, departmental exhibitions will be set up in the stadium complex, featuring key achievements and government initiatives from departments including:
- Agriculture, Horticulture, Veterinary, Fisheries, Industry, Women & Child Development, Public Health Engineering, Forest, Food, Labor, Transport, and Health.
Each stall will display successful projects, government schemes, and 25 years of progress in their respective fields. The Health Department will also provide free health check-up facilities for visitors at the venue.
Final Preparations and Public Participation
Collector Vinay Kumar Langeh, along with District Panchayat CEO Hemant Nandanwar, Additional Collector Ravi Kumar Sahu, SDM Aksha Gupta, and other senior officials, personally inspected the arrangements for VIP, media, and public seating.
He emphasized public participation to make Rajyotsav 2025 a people’s festival, celebrating the pride, culture, and development of Chhattisgarh.
