The Baahubali universe continues to rule the hearts of audiences worldwide. When Baahubali: The Beginning was released in 2015, no one could have imagined the cultural phenomenon it would become. Its sequel, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, broke records and cemented SS Rajamouli and Prabhas as global icons.

Now, after years of anticipation, Rajamouli is taking the Baahubali saga forward in a brand-new way. Following the theatrical release of Baahubali: The Epic, a reimagined animated version combining both Baahubali films, the visionary filmmaker has unveiled his next big project — Baahubali: The Eternal War.

Teaser of Baahubali: The Eternal War Released in Theaters

During the premiere of Baahubali: The Epic on October 31, Rajamouli surprised fans by revealing the teaser of his next animated feature — Baahubali: The Eternal War. The teaser was showcased exclusively in theaters, giving audiences a glimpse into the next chapter of this legendary universe.

Speaking about the new film, Rajamouli said,

“We are releasing the teaser of Baahubali: The Eternal War, an animated movie that takes the Baahubali story to a new dimension.”

Not Baahubali 3, But an Entirely New Animated Saga

Fans might assume Baahubali: The Eternal War is the long-awaited Baahubali 3, but Rajamouli clarified that this is a standalone animated project set in the same universe.

“This is not Baahubali 3, but a completely fresh story told through 3D animation,” Rajamouli explained.

Unlike the earlier 2D animated Baahubali series released on Amazon, The Eternal War will be a full-length 3D animated feature film, retaining the original characters while introducing a new adventure.

A 120-Crore Mega Animated Film in the Making

What makes this project even more remarkable is its scale — Baahubali: The Eternal War is being made with a massive ₹120 crore budget, equivalent to the production cost of Baahubali: The Beginning!

Rajamouli shared that the idea came from producer Shobu Yarlagadda, who wanted to expand the Baahubali universe beyond the big screen. He collaborated with young animation director Ishaan Shukla, who brought an exciting new vision to the table.

“Shobu met Ishaan Shukla, a young animation director with a unique idea. I loved it immediately. The team has been working on it for over two and a half years,” Rajamouli revealed.

The project promises cutting-edge 3D visuals, epic battle sequences, and a completely new storyline that will redefine animated filmmaking in India.

Rajamouli Confirms Baahubali 3 is Still Coming!

In the same conversation, Rajamouli dropped another bombshell for fans eagerly awaiting Baahubali 3.

Baahubali 3 — this is the real deal,” he confirmed, hinting that the live-action sequel is still in development and will bring back the grandeur, emotions, and suspense of the earlier films.

With Baahubali: The Eternal War on the way and Baahubali 3 in the pipeline, the Baahubali universe is set to expand like never before — across animation and live-action cinema.

SS Rajamouli and Prabhas are once again ready to mesmerize audiences with Baahubali: The Eternal War, a ₹120 crore 3D animated spectacle that promises to set new benchmarks for Indian animation. With the teaser already creating buzz and Baahubali 3 on the horizon, fans can expect the legend to continue — stronger, grander, and more eternal than ever.
